Post patch 3.2, this is my Blood DPS build:

Regarding this build, some may disagree with my talent choices after I filled out the Blood tree with 51 points. I chose to spec 3/3 Morbidity to gain bigger Death Coil procs (from Sudden Doom) and more AoE utility through shortened DnD cooldowns. Others may opt for longer disease durations through speccing 2/2 Epidemic, but honestly, I don't have much of a DPS problem refreshing my diseases 3 seconds earlier. The choice to drop Glyph of Disease for Glyph of Dark Death was similarly related; I appreciate bigger DCs in PVP and mobile PVE fights over the 3 seconds speccing full Epidemic would provide.
When using this build, which has netted me over 6.3k AP buffed during 5-mans with only modest gear, I recommend this "rotation":
IT-PS-Pestilence-HS-DS-DS-[RP Dump]/HS-HS-HS-HS-[HS-HS or DS]-DS-[RP Dump]
In both small raids or 5-mans, I have found that Heart Strike does over 50% of my overall damage. This is especially true on trash, where AoE crits really shine. Using only 2-3 pieces of iLvl 219, I have easily scored 5.3K+ crits on trash from Heart Strike. Any Blood DK hoping to maximize their DPS in a raid environment should focus on talents like Sudden Doom, Abomination's Might and Dancing Rune Weapon instead of the self-healing talents like Rune Tap and Mark of Blood. In my opinion, self-healing talents are better taken by Blood tanks. These tanks can easily take the pressure off healers through self-healing as mitigation, as long as they're coupled with a large HP pool.
I apologize if this blog post was rather incomprehensible. Honestly, it has merely served as a fun time sink as well as a motivation for future posts describing my Blood/Blood spec choices.
